It sounds like a great role for Stallone to settle into his age on-screen and show off more talent than muscle for once. Armand Assante is a veteran American actor best recognized for playing the role of John Gotti in the HBO miniseries ‘Gotti’. However, much like the Pretty Boy Floyd flick we just heard about, this story isn't about glorifying the crime boss, but will apparently focus on "Junior" Gotti's recollections of his tumultuous relationship with his dad. After all, when you're the boss of the Gamino crime family, you're bound to get your hands dirty. Before his conviction, Gotti had also retained the nickname of "The Teflon Don" because of the number of attempts to convict him on various crimes like racketeering, obstruction of justice, illegal gambling, extortion, tax evasion, loansharking and of course, more murders. The elder Gotti died in prison in 2002 serving a life sentence after a conviction against him for 13 murders back in 1992 finally held up in the court of law. It looks like there's a chance I'll get my wish to a certain extent as the gossip-mongers TMZ reports Stallone has been having in depth talks with "Junior" John Gotti about a film that would see Stallone playing his late crime boss father "The Dapper Don" John Gotti, one of the most infamous career criminals of all-time. With the past few years seeing Sylvester Stallone stepping back in the ring to reprise his role as Rocky and heading back to the jungle as Rambo, I've been hoping that the plethora of action stars joining him in the adrenaline-fueled rampage The Expendables would be like one last hoorah before starting to act his age.
